Consider/Approve Amendment to Board Policy #5.6001 – Staff Dress Code |

Background Information: The Tennessee Association of Pupil Transportation has recommendations concerning the footwear of school bus drivers. Updates to Board Policy #5.6001 – Staff Dress Code now includes, “Drivers are to avoid wearing open-toed shoes, sandals, clogs, flip-flops, wooden-soled shoes, heels more than two-inch in height. Shoes should be non-slip sole that cover the entire foot.” The Board’s current policy is included for your reference.
Staff Recommendation: I recommend approval of the above-noted amendment to Board Policy #5.6001 for the first reading. |
